With formal qualifications in Travel Management, Melanie is an Event Management and Travel professional with in excess of 30 years experience in the Travel and Hospitality Industry. Commencing with Jetset Travel and gaining a solid grounding in Retail & Corporate Travel. Melanie progressed into various sales management and operational roles with Diners Club International and Abacus Travel Software Systems prior to moving into the Hotel Industry with stints at 5 star establishments such as the boutique Hotel Como and the Stamford Hotels & Resorts Group. Melanie is considered an authority within the industry and is a past Committee Member of the Travel League of Victoria, the peak industry body which she served on for in excess of 10 years.
Melanie has worked as an event manager at the Incentive House Group for 11 years and RDI Travel & Events for 6 years. She has delivered events across Australia and internationally for companies such as the L&H Group, Hagemeyer, Westpac, Hewlett Packard (HP), Danks Group, Pacific Datacom (PDC), Nexans Olex, Casemix, Goodyear, Traders 500, Sigma Pharmaceuticals and Officeworks. During this time she was responsible for Airline, Hotel and ground operator (DMC) negotiations and the logistical movement and hospitality of hundreds of event attendees at a time.
With exceptional project management skills, Melanie is a hands-on logistics manager, overseeing all elements of a program. Melanie’s proven negotiation and analytical skills delivers greater bottom-line returns for clients. In delivering events from inception to completion, her creativity, attention to detail and commitment to high standards of customer service ensures each event is an outstanding and memorable success for her clients.
